a year ago, i had an unusual trip to the famed island. tired of the usual white beach tirade of gimiks, my officemates and I tried a different destination - this time La Laguna. we touched shore at sabang, finally believed that it was hard core red light district and started the 15min walk (well it would take longer if you came with a photo-hungry group) to La Laguna. The tree-lined shot was taken in one of the narrow footpaths we trekked along.

Upon arriving at La Laguna, it was definitely peaceful. the rush of wind blowing through your hair and streaks of sunlight peeping through as you look up the coconut trees. But it was too quiet and it did not exactly match our mood for excitement and new thrills. So there we ended up hiring a banka going to white beach (again!) at P600... which is almost as expensive as the trip from batangas pier.

Back at white beach, there was a mixture of familiarity, tranquility and excitement... all to our group's taste. The mamang taho shot was taken at white beach while lazing around to the afternoon sunset.

Just a note though, La Laguna is known to be a good dive spot. If this is your trip, then you may actually like it here.
