i lost my goggles in clearwater, pampanga. but the P700 worth was nothing compared to the experience i had as the socials commiitte raked through north and south of metro manila just to find the perfect spot for the company summer outing. we ended up choosing clearwater because of the gazillion things one could do there - kayak, boating, fishing, swimming, bicycling, mini-golf and our favorites - to relax, sleep and EAT.
But if we were given the freedom to choose, Playa in Calatagan would be paradise! Laid back jazz-reggae music, glaring white sand which makes you squint and eventually doze off, gourmet food served underneath the serenity of a shaded hut plus a sassy atmosphere... However, one would need membership and that would cost not lower than a million pesos.
Here are a few trivia: - several TV shows have made their set at Clearwater pretending it's a place somewhere in the US (must be the lake-and-dock effect just like in Dawson's creek) - the coconut tree in Munting Buhangin, Nasugbu was quite familiar and then I remembered it from several summer TV commercials (Colgate and Sunsilk). - I have a hunch that Aga Muhlach's wakeboarding in "A Love Story" was shot in a Lago de Oro.
